A leading corporation in Singapore seeks a Financial Analyst to conduct market research and financial analysis to evaluate investment proposals. The ideal candidate will have a degree in a quantitative discipline and 2-3 years of relevant experience in investment banking or management consulting. The role demands strong financial modelling skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams to ensure strategic alignment.
Job Responsibilities:
· Conduct in-depth, in-country market research in the territories identified for growth thrusts.
· Perform comprehensive financial analysis, including financial modelling, forecasting, scenario analysis and synergy assessments to evaluate potential investment opportunities.
· Identify and understand key business drivers, due diligence items, valuation and risks to provide a holistic assessment of investment proposals.
· Prepare presentation and materials used for engaging internal and external stakeholders.
· Collaborate closely with cross functional teams across the divisions, including School Administration, Marketing, Development and Finance to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and seamless execution.
Requirements:
· Degree in finance, economics, business administration, accounting or a quantitative discipline.
· 2-3 years’ experience in PE, M&A investment banking, leveraged finance, management consulting (corporate finance focus), or in a transaction evaluation role.
· Substantial experience in conducting diligence and building complex, integrated financial valuation models.
· International experience is preferred.
· Strong financial modelling skills (designing, coding and reviewing), including ability to build and manage complex DCF and LBO models.
· Able to quickly grasp and understand business dynamics and value drivers of target companies across all industries and geographies.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
· Maturity and diplomatic influencing skills to partner with a wide spectrum of colleagues across the organization, including origination and execution teams.
· Confident and strong communication skills. Needs to be able to structure, discuss and present complex issues in an easy-to-understand manner, including to senior management.
· Highly driven, eager to learn and able to work under tight deadlines.
· Good team player who puts the team first.
· Able to work collaboratively and also able to generate ideas / make decisions on their own.
