Job description

The Corporate Communications Senior Officer is part of the Corporate Communications Division and is responsible for supporting the department to implement effective communications for Canon Singapore.

Responsibilities

Internal Communications

- Assist in developing ideas for materials and activities to facilitate staff communications

- Assist in writing and edit internal publications

- Create and develop graphics and short videos

- Propose and execute ideas to promote staff engagement and corporate culture

- Manage internal communication tools such as the intranet (Sharepoint) and internal social platform (Viva Engage)

- Maintain staff product loan scheme and corporate wallpaper schedule

Corporate Social Media

-Develop and execute social media strategies aligned with brand goals

-Create, curate, and manage content for all social channels

-Monitor engagement and respond to comments/messages in a timely manner

-Track performance using analytics tools and prepare regular reports

-Stay updated on social media trends and best practices

-Work closely with Public Relation for impactful external brand storytelling

Administration

- Liaise with Finance and relevant BUs to make purchases, put up POs and process vendor invoices

- Provide department support such as the handling of mail, housekeeping of assets and data, keeping track of agreements and contracts etc.

- Maintain and update SOP documents for administrative tasks

- Handle and coordinate corporate orders from HQ and ad-hoc sponsorship and donation arrangements

- Coordinate meetings and take minutes where required

- Provide admin support for special projects and tasks

Requirements

- Degree/Diploma in Communications or related disciplines

- 4-5 years of working experience in a similar capacity

- Good in writing and editing to communicate with employees effectively

- Ability to create graphics and videos using programs such as MS Powerpoint, Canva and iMovie

- Familiar and savvy with managing and using tools for communications, especially Sharepoint

- Proven experience in social media management

- Ability to analyze data and adjust strategies accordingly

- Creative, enthusiastic, and willing to explore new ways to improve communications

- Team player, people-oriented
