Job Description
As the Corporate Communication, you will be responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies that support the company's regional and global objectives. This role will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver effective messaging that enhances the company's reputation, brand, and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute communication strategies of Company and its subsidiaries that align with the Group's business objectives and support its reputation, brand, and stakeholder engagement
- Create and deliver compelling communication content, including press releases, media pitches, talking points, speeches, presentations, and other materials, that effectively communicates the company's messages to key stakeholders
- Collaborate with the corporate communication team to ensure consistent messaging across all channels
- Build relationships with regional media outlets, journalists, and influencers to increase visibility and positive coverage of the company
- Provide communication support for regional events, conferences, and other activities
- Support crisis communication efforts by developing and implementing communication plans that mitigate risk and maintain stakeholder trust
- Manage and analyze regional communication metrics to assess effectiveness and recommend improvements
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, HR, and legal, to develop communication strategies that support their objectives
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and emerging communication technologies and platforms
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in corporate communication, public relations, or journalism, preferably in the shipping industry or related field
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on industry-specific messaging
- Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to develop and execute effective communication plans
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with shipping industry media outlets, journalists, and influencers
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time and within budget
- Experience managing crisis communication efforts
- Strong understanding of social media and digital communication platforms
- Experience with shipping industry communication metrics and analytics would be a plus
- Experience working in a cross-functional team environment within the shipping industry would be a plus
