Job summary

WECRUIT PTE. LTD. in Singapore is looking for an experienced in-house lawyer to join its Corporate Legal team, supporting the Company and its business groups across multiple jurisdictions.

This role provides practical legal advice on a broad portfolio of corporate, commercial and strategic matters. The successful candidate will draft, review and negotiate a wide range of agreements, partner with stakeholders to assess risks, and guide governance, compliance and training across the organisation.

Qualifications

• 10–12+ years of post-qualification legal experience, ideally combining private practice and in-house work.
• Experience in an MNC or complex organisation is preferred.
• Strong corporate and commercial law experience, including drafting and negotiating contracts.

Responsibilities

• Advise on a broad range of corporate, commercial and legal matters across multiple jurisdictions.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial and corporate agreements.
• Support cross-border and cross-functional projects with practical legal input.
• Provide governance, corporate secretarial guidance and policy compliance support.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced in-house lawyer to join our Corporate Legal team in Singapore. This is a broad-based role supporting the Company and its business groups across multiple jurisdictions.

The successful candidate will work closely with business leaders, functional teams and legal colleagues across the Group, providing practical legal advice and supporting a diverse portfolio of corporate, commercial and strategic matters.

What You Will Do

• Advise the Company and its business groups on a broad range of corporate, commercial and legal matters across multiple jurisdictions.
• Partner with key stakeholders to identify legal considerations, assess risks and develop practical and commercially sound solutions.
• Advise on general corporate law, corporate governance and corporate secretarial matters.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial and corporate agreements.
• Support cross-border and cross-functional projects, including strategic business initiatives requiring legal input.
• Provide guidance on the application of Group policies, procedures and governance frameworks.
• Support compliance matters, including the development and implementation of local compliance protocols.
• Prepare and deliver legal and compliance training and updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Help strengthen legal risk management and contracting processes across the organisation.
• Work with external counsel where specialist legal advice is required, including managing instructions, deliverables and legal expenditure.
• Monitor and analyse relevant legal, regulatory and judicial developments affecting the Group's businesses.
• Contribute to wider Corporate Legal initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

What You Bring

• 10–12+ years of post-qualification legal experience, ideally combining private practice and in-house experience.
• Experience working in an MNC, multinational group or similarly complex organisation is preferred.
• Strong general corporate and commercial legal experience, including contract drafting and negotiation.
• Ability to independently manage a diverse portfolio of legal matters and projects.
• Strong commercial acumen and sound judgment, with the ability to provide clear and practical legal advice.
• Comfortable working across different jurisdictions, functions and business environments.
• Adaptable and curious, with the ability to quickly understand new businesses and industries.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including confidence in engaging with senior management.
• Able to work independently while being an effective and collaborative member of a global legal team.
