Job description

The Opportunity:

Location: Downtown

Employment Type: Full-time

Industry: International Trading

We are seeking a smart, well-rounded professional with 3-5 years of experience in accounting or operations within a trading environment. This role is ideal for someone who understands trading flows, futures contracts, and can bridge the gap between trading and accounting records. You'll work closely with overseas counterparts in Asia and support the team in both operational and investment-related activities, while guiding a junior staff member.

The Job:

  • Reconcile trading books (physical & futures) with accounting records
  • Maintain internal records and financial reports for management and HQ, including Consolidation of Accounts
  • Track trade positions, mark-to-market valuations, and contract settlements
  • Handle accounting entries for new investments, JVs, or start-up ventures
  • Review and support daily entries and bank reconciliations done by junior staff
  • Coordinate with regional teams in Asia (e.g. Korea, China, Bangladesh, Vietnam, etc.) on trade and finance matters
  • Ensure timely submission of statutory filings (e.g. GST, CPF, etc.) as required
  • Oversee general office administration and support business operations

The Talent:

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3-5 years' experience in trading, commodities, or metals industry preferred
  • Familiar with futures contracts, basic trade finance, and mark-to-market concepts
  • Strong communication skills, able to work with regional teams
  • Proficient in Excel and accounting tools
  • Independent, detail-oriented, and capable of mentoring junior staff
