A leading global investment banking firm in Singapore is seeking a Software Engineer focused on managing container lifecycles. The role offers opportunities to work with DevOps and container management technologies while ensuring the security of container applications. Ideal candidates will have experience with Docker, monitoring tools, and programming in Java, Python, or Go. This is a great opportunity to influence container management practices in a dynamic environment.
Role Overview
This role focuses on deploying and maintaining the workflows around managing lifecycles for container images for the firm using industry standard products like CNCF Harbor. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in implementing industry-leading container registry while collaborating with experienced professionals in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will work at the intersection of DevOps, container management, and security. The position requires strong SRE principles and Docker/OCI image expertise, with experience in monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Thanos) and CI/CD pipelines. The candidate should have intermediate Java, Python, or Go programming skills and Unix knowledge. While experience with Harbor specifically is beneficial, it's not mandatory.
Key responsibilities include managing the container registry platform, implementing security best practices with vulnerability scanning tools (Wiz, Clair, Trivy, Prisma), and collaborating across teams to ensure successful integration. The role offers exposure to cutting-edge container technologies in a financial services environment with opportunities to influence container management practices company-wide.
