Role Overview

This role focuses on deploying and maintaining code quality solutions at Goldman Sachs. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing static code analysis platforms to enhance software quality across the organization.

The position requires experience with SRE principles and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Thanos, and expertise in static code analysis tools like SonarQube, SemGrep, and FBInfer. Candidates should have intermediate skills in Java, Python, or Go, Unix knowledge, and a passion for code quality best practices across multiple programming languages.

Key responsibilities include managing the code quality platform, collaborating with engineering teams to implement quality gates, and developing best practices for static analysis within CI/CD pipelines. The engineer will work closely with other teams to ensure proper integration of code quality solutions within SDLC workflows, especially in GitLab or GitHub environments.

This role provides exposure to modern code quality tools and practices in a financial services environment, with opportunities to influence coding standards organization-wide. Experience with cloud provisioning (AWS CDK) is a plus but not mandatory.

Required:

• Experience with SRE principles and tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Thanos, Pagerduty, AWS CloudWatch)
• Experience with static code analysis tools (e.g., SonarQube, SemGrep, FBInfer)
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, preferably Java, Python, or Go
• Strong understanding and passion for code quality across languages
• Knowledge of SDLC processes, preferably with GitLab or GitHub
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Preferred:

• Understanding of cloud provisioning, especially with AWS CDK
• Intermediate Unix skills and scripting experience
