Job Overview
Execute copper and cobalt futures trading in Singapore, focusing on market analysis, trade execution, risk management, and client support to optimize profitability and control risks.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Trade Execution and Market Analysis

Execute trades on LME, SHFE, and CME, including pricing, hedging, and position management; optimize arbitrage and hedging opportunities.

Supply and Demand Fundamentals: Track production, inventories, and EV/battery demand.

Macro Trends: Monitor PMI, GDP, interest rates, and USD fluctuations.

Speculative Forces: Assess market sentiment.

Structural Trends: Evaluate the impact of EVs and green energy.

Provide daily position reports, inventory updates, basis analysis, and weekly upcoming economic data.

  1. Risk Management and Compliance

Monitor prices, freight costs, and exchange rates; implement hedging strategies.

Ensure compliance with company policies and MAS regulations.

  1. Client and Industry Support

Assist clients with pricing, hedging, and contract execution; provide market insights.

Analyze global copper and cobalt trends (e.g., Congo policies, Chile strikes); offer forecasts and risk warnings.

  1. Team Collaboration and Other Duties

Support trading plans and coordinate with logistics and finance teams; complete ad-hoc tasks.

Ensure compliance with Singapore and international regulations.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, economics, or mathematics.

1+ years of experience in copper and cobalt futures trading, familiar with LME and SHFE.

Strong analytical skills; proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg, Wind, iFinD, or Python preferred.

Fluent in English; Mandarin or other Asian languages (e.g., Indonesian) a plus.

Knowledge of Singapore financial regulations and quick learning ability.

Sharp insight and strong execution under high-pressure environments.
