Job description

To plan, organize, and control air operation activities, ensuring proper control and compliance during all stages, including input, movement, processing/sorting, and output of air operation documents, to meet high service quality standards at minimal cost.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate shipment pre-alerts with the origin office;
• Communicate with carriers regarding shipment arrivals;
• Keep customers updated on their shipment status;
• Declare customs permits (preferred);
• Liaise with customers to arrange delivery;
• Update key milestones in the operations system promptly and accurately;
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE

Academic: GCE ‘O’ Level and above

Experience & knowledge:

• At least two (2) years of experience in customer service/operations within the freight forwarding industry;
• Extensive experience in freight forwarding and a strong understanding of local compliance requirements;
• Knowledge of operational requirements from customers, agents, and sister offices, as well as financial processes;
• Familiarity with workflows of airlines, cargo terminals, cross-border trucking services, and co-loaders;
• Basic accounting knowledge;
• Proficiency in MS Office applications;
• Fluent in English, Mandarin, and local languages to liaise effectively with Mandarin-speaking associates.
