About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Cook in western cuisine to join our dynamic kitchen located in the East Region. As our western cook, you will play a crucial role in the execution of our culinary vision, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

What you'll be doing

  • Overseeing the preparation and cooking of a specific station or section of the kitchen, such as sauces, pastries, or hot and cold food

  • Ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality, consistency and presentation

  • Collaborating with the Head Chef to develop and refine menu items, incorporate new techniques and introduce seasonal ingredients

  • Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient work environment in your assigned station

  • Providing guidance and support to junior members of the kitchen team

  • Adhering to all health, safety and food hygiene regulations

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in western culinary or equivalent role in a reputable restaurant or hotel kitchen

  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and plating

  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities

  • Passion for creating innovative and visually appealing dishes

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under pressure

  • Pro-active team members which can

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Food safety and hygiene certification

  • Experience in Asian cuisine is a plus point
