Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in food preparation and cooking according to Pangium’s standards.

  • Ensure consistency and quality in every dish served.

  • Work closely with the team to maintain a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.

  • Uphold hygiene and safety standards as per SFA regulations.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations.

  • Contribute to a positive work culture by supporting and respecting fellow teammates.

  • Be willing to learn and grow within the team, embracing new techniques and processes.

  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in stock ordering and management.

  • Assist in receiving and inspecting deliveries to ensure quality and freshness.

  • Follow proper food storage procedures to maintain optimal ingredient quality.

  • Assist in developing and testing new menu items alongside senior chefs.

  • Ensure proper portioning and plating presentation of dishes.

  • Support special events, private dining, and catering functions when required.

  • Adhere to kitchen operational standards, including waste management and sustainability practices.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year in similar capacity and experience.

  • A culinary school certification or a diploma is a plus. Practical experience and basic education will also be considered.

  • Substantial knowledge of food safety and handling procedures

  • A strong team player with a positive mindset.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong sense of responsibility.
