Job description

As an Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Engineer at our company's Head office in HCM City, Vietnam, you will be reporting to the Lead I&C Engineer. Your primary responsibility will be to support the Lead I&C Engineer in various tasks related to monitoring I&C and Telecommunication requirements, ensuring proper implementation throughout the design, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases of offshore facilities such as CPP, LQ, and WHP/HUB.You will be involved in reviewing engineering and design aspects within the Contractor's scope of work, ensuring that equipment specifications, design, and vendor selection meet operability and maintainability standards to achieve production availability targets. Additionally, you will oversee the review of I&C and Telecommunication-related deliverables by experienced engineers and provide timely feedback.Participation in design reviews including HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, HFE, and 3D model reviews will be part of your responsibilities to ensure the integrity of the design. Monitoring procurement activities, bid evaluations, and vendor compliance with project specifications will also fall under your purview. You will be expected to support testing and commissioning activities by attending FATs, resolving issues before shipping, and assisting commissioning and start-up teams with I&C concerns.To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Control Systems. A minimum of 1 year of experience in Control and Instrumentation systems, preferably in offshore oil and gas projects, is required. Experience in commissioning and start-up activities will be considered a plus.You should have a good understanding of offshore communication systems, process control interfaces, and experience with pre-commissioning and commissioning of instrument and telecom equipment. Familiarity with engineering design principles, Vietnamese engineering standards, and proficiency in office software are essential.
