Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Provide cost and contracts administration services.
  • Carry out cost control to ensure the Material Procurement Tender Schedule aligns with the client's budget.
  • Prepare and report financial projections, and control budgets and expenditures of contractors prior to work commencement.
  • Prepare and recommend monthly progress payment claims and final accounts submitted by contractors, ensuring timely and complete submissions.
  • Evaluate and perform joint measurements with contractors on their claims for Purchase Orders/Works Orders.
  • Administer contract works before and after the start of work.
  • Check, certify, and confirm contractors' invoices to ensure accuracy with Purchase Orders/Works Orders.
  • Review and prepare specifications, evaluate, and recommend tender submissions.
  • Handle contract documentation related to tender acceptance and contract execution.
  • Obtain and monitor performance bonds, bank guarantees, and other insurances.
  • Prepare tender documents, evaluation reports, variation agreements, and provide professional advice on penalties and liquidated damages when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related building discipline recognized by the Singapore Institute of Surveyors & Valuers, with at least 3 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying.
  • Alternatively, a minimum of 3 years relevant experience as a QS or Contract Manager.
