Job summary

A leading civil engineering firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to develop and manage project contract strategies, resolve contractual issues, and ensure compliance. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering, along with 8-10 years of relevant experience in geotechnical foundation projects. Excellent negotiation and communication skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • Min 8-10 years of contract management on geotechnical foundation projects.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledgeable with Singapore public contracts.
  • Ability to liaise with internal and external legal counsel.

Job description

Our client is a world-renowned international civil main contractor specialising in foundation works, geotechnical and soil technology and has strong civil engineering presence in Singapore. They are looking for a Contracts Manager who is experienced in geotechnical foundation works.

Job Description:

· Develop and manage the project contract strategy with the Project Manager, the management team and the quantity surveyors

· Provide inputs to help strategize and resolve complex contractual issues

· Advising/ensuring contractual compliance requirements, e.g. contractual deliverables, performance bonds, insurances etc

· Draft and review of contractual correspondence and appropriate contract documents - subcontractors, suppliers and consultants

· Prepare, monitor and co-ordinate contractual claims and keeping of subject files of the same

· Ensure all contract procedures are carried out according to site requirements

· Liaise with government authorities as required

· Manage and implement procurement process

· Collect and gather market rates for main trades

· Manage a team of quantity surveyors for the direct subcontracted works

Requirements:

  • Min Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying / Civil Engineering or relevant field

  • Min 8-10 years of contract management on geotechnical foundation project

  • Demonstrate strong technical skills and knowledgeable with Singapore public contracts

  • Ability to liaise with internal and external legal counsel and experts

  • Excellent negotiation, organizational and communication skills
