A leading company in the construction sector seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee contracts administration and ensure compliance with procedures. The ideal candidate will manage project costs, mentor junior staff, and have a solid background in large-scale projects. A proactive team player with strong negotiation skills is essential.
Key responsibilities:
· Oversee full spectrum of contracts administration and quantity surveying duties from pre- to post-contract.
· Maintain accurate and organized records of all contracts, correspondence, and contract-related documentation.
· Track key contractual obligations, deliverables, timelines, and milestones.
· Administer and manage contracts including progress payments, variations, claims, final accounts, and contractual correspondences.
· Monitor project costs, track changes, and produce cost reports for management review.
· Liaise with project teams, consultants, and clients to resolve contractual issues and disputes.
· Ensure compliance with company procedures, contract terms, and statutory requirements.
· Mentor junior QS team members and assist in department development.
Job Requirements:
· Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or related disciplines.
· Minimum5 years of relevant experience with a Senior or Managerial role in handling contractual issues in the Construction industry.
· Proven track record in handling medium to large-scale or public projects.
· Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
· Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Project).
· Team player with a proactive and hands-on attitude.
· Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
