Job summary

Sembcorp Industries Ltd is seeking a Quantity Surveying professional to assist with cost estimation, tender preparation, and budget tracking for major construction projects in Singapore. The role involves supporting contract administration, procurement, and inspecting site quantities to assess variations and risk.

The ideal candidate will contribute strong analytical and numerical skills, be proficient in Excel, AutoCAD, CostX, or similar QS tools, and collaborate effectively with project teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Understanding of cost estimation, contracts and procurement processes.
• Proficiency in Excel/AutoCAD/CostX or QS software is a plus.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documents.
• Support QS team in contract administration, procurement, and progress claims assessment.
• Conduct site measurements and assist in evaluating variations and cost control measures.
• Work with costing and estimation software to analyze project budgets.
• Assist in reviewing project specifications, contracts, and construction drawings.
• Conduct market research on material costs and supplier pricing.
• Support project teams in monitoring budgets and financial performance.
• Prepare reports and documentation to track project costs and financial risks.
