Job summary

A leading company in the pharmaceuticals sector is seeking a Process Engineer to manage change controls, lead quality events, and oversee process safety assessments. This role requires a degree in engineering and at least four years of relevant industry experience. Job description

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the overall system — including hardware, controls, and operating sequences
  • Support or lead the planning and execution of process improvements and change control strategies.
  • Lead the Quality Event (Deviation) process for Process Engineering, ensuring timely creation, investigation, analysis, and closure of events.
  • Lead and manage Change Controls for Process Engineering, ensuring timely execution and closure.
  • Responsible for managing Functional Specifications.
  • Provide support for weekly Plant Change Management meetings.
  • Represent Process Engineering in cross-functional support team meetings.
  • Act as the primary engineering liaison for Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and investigations, engaging Process Systems and Automation Engineering teams as needed.
  • Oversee process safety assessments and hazard identification activities.
  • Serve as the main engineering liaison for process FMEAs; define equipment operating ranges to align with process and product requirements.
  • Coordinate with the global engineering function to review, implement, and provide feedback on engineering standards.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of results.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure timely closure of EHS and Quality event investigations, including corrective and preventive actions.
  • Lead CAPEX projects for Process Engineering, ensuring timely execution and completion.
  • Support project teams on new projects by providing recommendations and insights based on technical expertise.
  • Support the evaluation and implementation of new technologies for process execution and/or analysis.
  • Complete all required documentation to ensure proper traceability and compliance with company requirements.
  • Provide training to end users on the technical aspects of installed plant equipment and assets.
  • Adhere to all applicable Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements.
  • Maintain fair, respectful relationships and demonstrate professional conduct in line with the company’s Code of Conduct.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Degree in Chemical/Bio/Process/Mechanical engineering or any related course of studies
  • Minimum 4 years of process engineering experience in Biologics, Pharmaceuticals and/or similar manufacturing industries
  • Experience in change control and test script is highly preferred
