Qualifications

Job description

Contract Microbiologist (Pharma MNC, Up to $5000) #HJO

Lab Maintenance & System Support

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in microbiological and sterility assurance testing.
• Lead and investigate deviations using systems such as Trackwise and Laboratory Investigation (LI).
• Manage change control tasks and support root cause analysis (RCA).
• Review and approve QC test results.
• Assist in audit preparations and represent the team during inspections.
• Lead projects related to cost savings or process improvements (e.g., Lean Green Belt).
• Support method validation, equipment qualification, and various studies when required.
• Monitor inventory and ensure sufficient testing supplies.
• Apply 5S practices for lab organization and cleanliness.

Equipment & Room Qualification

• Relocate and qualify lab equipment following global standards.
• Coordinate vendor support for IOPQ and calibration activities.

Routine Microbiology Testing

• Conduct environmental monitoring (EM), plate reading and verification.
• Handle microbiological testing of various sample types (e.g., critical utilities, raw materials, BDS).
• Assist in weekly inventory restocking from the warehouse.

General Responsibilities

• Follow all EHS and safety requirements.
• Maintain professionalism and teamwork in line with company policies.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree holders: Bachelor’s in Microbiology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or related fields with 1–2 years of relevant cGMP or laboratory experience.
• Diploma holders: Diploma in related fields with at least 6 years of cGMP lab experience.
• Experience in QC microbiology testing is essential.
• Preferred experience includes microbiological studies, investigations, and cost-saving initiatives.
