Job summary

NAT AND NAT SEARCH PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to support a flagship infrastructure and technology programme in Singapore.

You will act as the contractual focal point with subcontractors and collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, Project Controls, Commercial and Legal teams. The role focuses on managing major subcontracts from award through closeout, negotiating terms, handling variations and claims, and ensuring compliance with the main contract.

Qualifications

• Degree in Law, Contract Management, Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Manage major subcontracts from award through project execution and closeout.
• Ensure subcontract terms are aligned with the main contract, including flow-down obligations.
• Lead subcontract negotiations, amendments, variations, claims and change orders.
• Monitor subcontractor performance across scope, schedule, quality, warranties, insurance and other contractual requirements.
• Identify and manage contractual risks, claims and commercial opportunities.
• Oversee contractual communications and maintain proper documentation and governance.
• Support tendering, bidder evaluations and commercial negotiations.
• Assist with dispute avoidance and resolution in collaboration with Legal and Contract Management teams.
• Provide practical contractual advice to senior project and business stakeholders.

About the opportunity

A leading multinational technology and engineering group is looking for an experienced Subcontract Manager to support the delivery of a large-scale, mission-critical systems integration programme in Singapore.

This is a high-impact role offering strong visibility, autonomy and the opportunity to manage major subcontract packages throughout the full project lifecycle.

The role

Embedded within the project team, you will serve as the contractual focal point for key subcontractors and work closely with Procurement, Engineering, Project Controls, Commercial and Legal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in Law, Contract Management, Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in subcontract management, contract management, procurement, commercial management or legal counsel roles.
• Experience working on complex, long-term projects within sectors such as infrastructure, transportation, aerospace, defence, energy, EPC, systems integration or technology.
• Strong experience managing variations, claims, contractual risks and commercial negotiations.
• Able to operate independently and engage confidently with senior internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Comfortable working across multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
