Job summary

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Managing Director to respond to Requests for Quotation (RFQs) from both local and international clients.
  • Oversee and coordinate the preparation of pre-tender documentation, manage responses to tender clarifications and amendments, and participate in tender meetings leading to the award process.
  • Prepare and manage contract documentation to ensure effective contract administration, including reviewing commercial terms with clients and subcontractors.
  • Support Project Managers in preparing monthly progress claims and ensure timely and successful collection of payments.
  • Attend site meetings when required to align with project staff on contractual and commercial matters.
  • Assist in the preparation of variation orders, and maintain comprehensive records of work changes and design modifications.
  • Liaise with main contractors and clients’ Quantity Surveyors on claims, negotiations, and final account settlements.
  • Work with directors, project managers, and the financial controller to prepare project budgets and cash flow projections.
  • Negotiate subcontractor packages and assist in drafting subcontractor and supplier agreement letters.
  • Analyze project and contract scopes for effective administration, including interpretation of architectural and shop drawings.
  • Coordinate with the financial controller and project managers to monitor project costs and manage overall financial administration.
  • Provide historical cost data and analysis to support contract negotiations and budgeting processes.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills with excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Self-motivated, analytical, and capable of working independently.
  • Background in Quantity Surveying (QS) or Contracts is advantageous.
  • Possess at least a Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering works.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project, Primavera, and AutoCAD.
  • Able to commence work immediately or within a short notice period.
