Key Responsibilities:
Contract Administration:
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and agreements with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual terms, conditions, and legal requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date records of contract documentation and correspondence.
Commercial & Claims Management:
- Identify, prepare, and submit claims, variations, and extension of time requests.
- Negotiate settlements for claims and variations with clients and subcontractors.
- Monitor cost performance and ensure profitability of projects.
Risk & Compliance:
- Assess contractual risks and provide recommendations to minimize exposure.
- Ensure adherence to local laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Advise project teams on contractual rights, obligations, and liabilities.
Coordination & Stakeholder Management:
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders on contractual matters.
- Support project managers in resolving contractual and commercial issues.
- Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of contracts.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare regular contract management reports for management review.
- Maintain proper documentation of contracts, amendments, claims, and disputes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Law, or related field.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in contract management in road construction, civil works, and/or infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in claims preparation, dispute resolution, and cost control.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, contract management software, and project documentation tools.
