Step into a high-impact role where innovation meets execution. As a Contract Logistics Automation Engineer, Asia Pacific, you’ll be at the forefront of designing, deploying, and optimizing automation solutions that transform warehouse operations across the Asia Pacific.

How you create impact

Your primary objective is to be the subject matter expert in the project on the technical design and to lead the technical realization of the automation. As an Automation Engineer in the region, you will work with internal and external stakeholders, focusing on key objectives.

What we would like you to bring
  • Challenge and enhance the technical layout of automated solutions, including maintainability, redundancy, and material selection.
  • Manage the building phase of automation projects, ensuring quality, adherence to timelines, and specification compliance.
  • Lead technical and availability testing, including component acceptance and preliminary acceptance tests.
  • Act as a business partner to regional and country teams, addressing technical customer queries and constructively challenging the status quo.
  • Manage partnerships with key vendors across the region to optimize costs and lead times.
  • Guide teams on solution costing, including spare parts, wear and tear, and maintenance planning.
  • Approve technical drawings with a focus on maintainability, specifications, logistics concepts, and ergonomics.
  • Oversee system integrators during the build phase, ensuring alignment with logistics concepts and technical standards.
  • Manage technical adjustments during the build and launch phases to ensure smooth implementation.
  • Test and approve technical reports, including availability metrics and system performance.
  • Lead the availability tests and resolve technical issues during launch and stabilization phases.
  • Define and document best practices within areas of technical expertise.
  • Identify and formulate future needs and requirements for technical solutions.
  • Support the development of others by training team members and trainers on engineering practices and market knowledge.
  • Ensure high standards of compliance and continuous improvement across all technical activities.
