Job description

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Implement and manage Infrastructure-as-Code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Monitor cloud resource usage and optimize for cost and performance.
• Maintain backups, disaster recovery strategies, and high availability setups in the cloud.
• Enforce cloud security best practices and compliance standards.
• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL).
• Patch systems, troubleshoot OS issues, and manage system logs and monitoring.
• Configure system services (e.g., Nginx, Apache, MySQL, SSH, DNS).
• Automate routine tasks using Bash, Python, or other scripting languages.
• Implement system security (firewalls, hardening, intrusion detection).
• Collaborate with DevOps/engineering teams to manage CI/CD pipelines and container platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Implement monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios).
• Maintain and improve system reliability, uptime, and performance.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration.
• Experience in technical delivery, infrastructure management, and middleware platforms.
• Working knowledge on JBoss, WebLogic, MQ, and Kafka.
• Strong knowledge of Unix shell scripting and SQL (Oracle/MySQL).

Preferred Qualifications

• Red Hat Certified Specialist
• VMware configurations and administration.
