Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD is seeking a proactive EHS Specialist to support implementation and continuous improvement of our EHS Management System, ensuring Singapore regulatory compliance while promoting a strong safety culture across the site.

The role also serves as the appointed Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) Level C, providing guidance to stakeholders, coordinating trainings, conducting inspections and risk assessments, and driving compliance with MOM WSH requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in engineering, environmental science, or OH&S.
• WSHO Level C certification recognized by MOM is mandatory.
• Entry-level candidates welcome; up to 4 years EHS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the EHS Management System.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore WSH, environmental and fire safety regulations.
• Organize and deliver EHS training and raise safety awareness.
• Coordinate monthly EHS, environmental and fire safety committee meetings.
• Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments; recommend corrective actions.
• Assist in investigation of incidents and near misses; ensure timely reporting.
• Monitor regulatory developments and best practices; suggest improvements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on EHS initiatives.
• Perform other EHS-related duties as assigned by management.

We are looking for a proactive and committed EHS Specialist to support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Management System. This role will ensure compliance with company standards and Singapore regulatory requirements while promoting a strong workplace safety culture across the site.

The successful candidate will act as the appointed Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO), providing professional EHS guidance to stakeholders and supporting operational excellence in areas such as biosafety, compliance, process safety, and occupational safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the site's EHS Management System, policies, procedures, and programs.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore Workplace Safety & Health (WSH), environmental, and fire safety regulations, and maintain the site's legal and regulatory register.
• Organize, coordinate, and deliver EHS training and awareness programs to strengthen safety culture.
• Coordinate monthly Workplace Safety & Health, Environmental, and Fire Safety Committee meetings.
• Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Assist in the investigation of workplace incidents, injuries, illnesses, and near misses, ensuring timely reporting and follow-up.
• Monitor regulatory developments and industry best practices, recommending improvements where appropriate.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support EHS initiatives and compliance activities.
• Perform other EHS-related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline.

Certification

• Mandatory Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) Level C certification recognized by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).

Experience

• Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply.
• Up to 4 years of relevant Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) experience is preferred.
