Job summary

Makino Asia Pte Ltd is seeking an Assembly Technician for a 1-year contract role. You will perform hands-on mechanical and electrical assembly tasks, ensuring quality standards and accurate time logging in the EES system for performance measurement.

The ideal candidate will hold a NITEC/Higher NITEC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, be able to read drawings, work shifts, and commit to overtime when required, while maintaining safe and clean work areas.

Qualifications

• Minimum NITEC/Higher NITEC in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in Assembly/Production is advantageous.
• Willing to work shifts and overtime on weekdays and weekends when required.
• Able to handle physical work and stand for long hours.
• Able to read and interpret drawings.
• Have the initiative to learn and produce quality outcome.
• Responsible and committed to the assigned task.
• Team player and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on mechanical/electrical assembly tasks within the standard time.
• Ensure that the assembled machine is according to Makino's quality standards.
• Responsible for keying the operation time into EES for performance measurement.
• Responsible for housekeeping and ensuring that the assigned machine area is clean and tidy.
• Carry out duties in accordance with Quality Policy, EHS control procedures and WIS.
• Ensure that all machine tools and instruments are properly calibrated and taken care of.
