Job summary

Elevan August Media is seeking a Content Strategist (Intern) to help plan and scale our digital content across platforms. You will conceptualise editorial and video content, script and publish videos, and monitor trends to fuel ideas.

You will gain hands-on experience across social media storytelling, analytics, and AI-powered content creation, with potential for future opportunities based on performance. This internship requires at least 24 weeks and a proactive, collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or earned Diploma/Degree in Media/Communications Studies or equivalent.
• Experience or familiarity with at least two social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok).
• At least one secondary skill such as writing, screenwriting, video production, photography, or design.

Responsibilities

• Plan, script, film, edit, and publish videos, reels, and social media content
• Monitor social media trends and competitors to generate fresh content ideas
• Use AI tools to support content creation, copywriting, proofreading, and campaign ideas
• Support the marketing of media outlets by monitoring the results of content delivered on social media platforms using analytics tools to identify trends and key learnings
• Undertake any other ad-hoc assignments as required

Job requirements:

• Possess or currently studying for a Diploma/Degree in Media/Communications Studies or equivalent
• Avid user of at least 2 prominent social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok)
• At least one secondary skill including but not limited to writing, screenwriting, video production, photography, or design

• Strong interest in and passionate about creation and ideation of branded content

• Knowledge of Canva is a plus
• Can work both independently and in teams
• Proactive, with a positive and can-do attitude
• Able to commit to a minimum of a 24-week (6-month) internship
