About the Job

The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for a Technical Service Manager with expertise in hybrid cloud platforms, cloud-native development, and middleware offerings to join us in Mumbai, India. In this role, you will support our sales efforts for the Indian market. You'll work as part of a team responsible for creating solutions and presenting compelling recommendations to Red Hat's customers. You will help our customers invest wisely in solutions that will give them maximum flexibility in the future, allowing them to run faster and more efficiently.

As a Technical Service Manager, you'll need to have extensive technical expertise, a passion for open source, a thorough understanding of business processes, and the ability to identify and create business solutions at the enterprise level. Excellent communication and people skills are essential, as you'll be a crucial part of the first major experience our customers have with Red Hat.

What will you do
  1. Manage incoming sales inquiries, coordinate services team responses, and create proposals for customers
  2. Work closely with partners to maximize project value
  3. Negotiate rates, project costs, terms, and statements of work (SoWs) in collaboration with the regional services manager
  4. Provide booking forecasts
  5. Ensure that appropriate delivery associates are involved in validating scope of engagements with your local services delivery manager
  6. Participate in account strategy sessions
  7. Meet or exceed assigned sales targets
What will you bring
  1. Experience selling complex customer solutions in a rapidly evolving technology environment
  2. 3+ years of experience focused on modern application delivery frameworks and platforms like Kubernetes and Docker, Red Hat OpenShift, Knative, Serverless, Apache Kafka, Istio, Service Mesh, EKS, AKS, Mulesoft, Jenkins, Apache Spark, MongoDB, etc.
  3. Extensive experience with Hyperscalers and expertise in cloud consumption models
  4. Agile development and DevOps foundation, with the ability to lead transformation initiatives
  5. Strong storytelling, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
  6. Advanced presentation skills for engaging with executives at large companies
  7. Background in consultative customer engagement with a consulting or technology organization
  8. High-level technical experience with cloud-native and container technologies
  9. Understanding of agile methodologies and organizational and IT transformation
  10. Ability to sell solutions in a multiproduct environment
  11. Proven ability to work with global cross-functional teams and achieve success for customers
  12. Ability to balance strategic and tactical skills
