Job Description

The KPMG financial services advisory team assists banks and capital market sectors in managing their business challenges and developments. Our projects include:

  • Business growth (e.g., market entry, customer insights, mergers & acquisitions support)
  • Operational process improvements
  • Organization-wide functional (re)design
  • Change management and project management
  • Digital and technology enablement

As we grow rapidly to become the preferred data-driven strategy execution firm in Southeast Asia, we focus on data transformation and cloud & data center excellence. The ideal candidate should have an interest in digital and data transformation, especially within cloud providers, consulting firms, or financial services organizations.

This role involves:

  • Working across all aspects of data, from engineering to building visualizations, machine learning models, and experiments
  • Translating complex analytics problems into technical solutions with actionable insights
  • Performing exploratory data analysis and testing hypotheses to identify trends
  • Modeling structured data and applying advanced statistical and mathematical methods
  • Using tools like SQL, Python, R, Tableau, QlikView, PowerBI, and GIS for analysis and reporting

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, Mathematics, or Statistics
  • Proficiency in SQL or other data programming languages
  • Understanding of statistical and quantitative analysis with large datasets
  • Experience with data visualization tools (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of big data ecosystems (Hadoop, Spark, Hive) (advantageous)
  • Strong learning aptitude and adaptability
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
