Job Summary:
The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for an Architect to join us in Singapore supporting the ASEAN region. In this role, you will promote the adoption of Red Hat's solutions at our key enterprise accounts, government agencies, and service provider partners. You'll define requirements and deliver solutions based on the Red Hat portfolio of solutions and services offerings. You will lead small to medium-sized project teams and ensure the quality of customer deliverables for one or more projects. You will apply well-developed consulting, business, and process expertise in your work and coach and mentor others while building good customer relationships. You will earn the trust and confidence of our customer Project, Development, and Operations teams by matching their requirements and use cases with the functional capabilities of our solutions. As an Architect, you will serve as a customer advocate within Red Hat, delivering the right solutions and ensuring that these solutions are implemented and supported in a creative and reliable way.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Design and implement modern platform architectures with a strong understanding of Red Hat OpenShift, container orchestration, and automation at scale.
- Win the confidence of our customers through the successful delivery of discovery, analysis, and design workshops that shape and influence the customer’s architecture design decisions to align with the Red Hat solution.
- Understand industry practices and Red Hat's policies, procedures, and values.
- Remain hands-on with development and implementation — especially in prototyping, design, and agile iterative delivery.
- Make strategic business recommendations and influence project direction toward business goals.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to technical Red Hat and customer resources.
- Consider customer culture/organization in project design and delivery, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support technical presales efforts, workshops, and proofs of concept, emphasizing business context and value.
- Establish best practices for platform deployment, hardening, observability, monitoring, alerting, capacity management, scalability, resiliency, and security operations.
- Create reusable reference architectures, best practices, and delivery models; mentor others in applying them.
- Contribute to standard consulting offerings, frameworks, and capability playbooks.
- Facilitate collaboration across stakeholders and project teams.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 10+ years in consulting and architecture roles.
- Hands-on experience and advanced knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift platform.
- Expertise in managing multiple Kubernetes clusters across multi-cloud environments.
- Proven experience in operationalizing Red Hat OpenShift with Service Mesh, GitOps, and Serverless frameworks.
- Experience with migrating to OpenShift container platform.
- Leadership in modern software and platform transformation projects.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code, automation tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of microservices, API design, and DevOps practices.
- Experience with agile, scrum, and cross-functional team collaboration.
- Ability to advise on platform and application modernization, including AI use cases.
- Strong customer-facing skills, including presentation and leadership in customer interactions.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills for technical and business audiences.
- Participation in open source communities or contributor background.
- Red Hat OpenShift certification is required.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Red Hat OpenShift AI, Virtualisation, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks like TOGAF or Zachman.
