We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic consultant to join the palliative service in the National University Cancer Institute Singapore (NCIS). The Palliative Medicine specialist provides holistic inpatient and outpatient consultation services to cancer and non-cancer patients in a tertiary hospital. Our Palliative Medicine specialist will have the opportunity to collaborate with partners from different organizations to ensure smooth transition of care between different settings.

As a Consultant / Senior Consultant, you will be required to carry out duties as directed by the Chairman, Medical Board, and Head of Department in accordance with the policies and guidelines set by the National University Health System (NUHS) and the Ministry of Health (MOH), Singapore.

As an integrated healthcare system, our combined resources allow you to leverage clinical excellence, research, and education across institutions within NUHS, supporting your pursuit of professional knowledge and expertise. You may also be deployed to other institutions within NUHS from time to time.

Job Requirements

  • Active in clinical practice;
  • Possess basic medical and postgraduate qualifications from accredited medical universities or medical schools, registrable with the Singapore Medical Council;
  • Completed Advanced Specialty Training or equivalent, with at least two years of experience at the consultant level;
  • Must be successfully registered with the Singapore Medical Council and accredited by the Specialist Accreditation Board, Ministry of Health;
  • Able to work independently with demonstrated competence in managing patients in a multidisciplinary environment; and
  • Confident, takes initiative, and a good team player.
