Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related discipline.
• 4–5 years of ELK experience; total experience not more than 7 years.
• 4 years in large-scale Elastic Stack design, deployment and support.
• Production-grade Elastic Stack experience for ingestion, indexing, monitoring and analytics.
• Strong Kafka experience.
• Linux administration expertise (RHEL/Ubuntu).
• Scripting in Python or Bash (2 years+).
• Automation/orchestration with Ansible and CI/CD pipelines.
• Production support background in virtual and physical environments.
• Autonomous, with Linux and DevOps coding skills.
• Ability to manage platforms and code to automate.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and optimize production ELK pipelines including Logstash parsing, Elasticsearch tuning, and ILM.
• Manage high-volume Kafka brokers, topics, partitions, and real-time log ingestion pipelines.
• Provide hands-on Linux system administration across virtual/physical environments.
• Automate deployments, API integrations, and pipeline operations using Python, Bash, and Ansible/CI/CD tools.
• Lead L2/L3 troubleshooting, RCA, backups, and change management for the logging platform.

Summary:

We are seeking a Consultant with experience in Observability/ Infrastructure/Platform Engineering / Security Engineer with strong ELK Stack, Kafka and Linux experience to manage, tune, and automate production-grade data pipelines for a cybersecurity logging platform. The role requires someone hands‑on with Python/Bash scripting and infrastructure automation to ensure high‑volume log ingestion, parsing, and cluster reliability.

Job Responsibilities:

• Build, configure, and optimize production ELK pipelines—including Logstash parsing (Grok/Regex), Elasticsearch cluster tuning, and Index Lifecycle Management (ILM).
• Manage high‑volume Kafka brokers, topics, partitions, and event‑streaming pipelines for real‑time cybersecurity log ingestion.
• Provide hands‑on Linux system administration (RHEL/Ubuntu) across virtual and physical environments to maintain high platform availability.
• Automate deployments, API integrations, and pipeline operations using Python, Bash, and Ansible/CI/CD tools.
• Lead L2/L3 troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), snapshot/restore backups, and change management (MOPs) for the logging platform.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or a related discipline
• Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience in ELK. Over all experience not more than 7 years.
• Must have 4 years of experience focused on large scale Elastic Stack design, deployment and support
• Production grade experience with the Elastic stack – ingestion, indexing, monitoring and analytics is mandatory
• Strong hands on experience with Kafka is required
• Must have expertise in Linux administration (RHEL/Ubuntu)
• Mandatory to have scripting/programming experience in any one of languages like Python / Bash (minimum 2years) or any similar languages
• Automation/orchestration – Ansible (or equivalent) and CI/CD pipelines is required
• Proven production support background; comfortable with both virtual and physical environments.
• Autonomous/Good command on these skills - Linux(OS), Programming / Coding (DevOps)
• Required to manage platform and code to maintain/automate.
