The successful candidate will be reporting into the Manager, Financial Reporting based in Singapore.

Scope of Work:

1. Focus on resolution of complex core custody accounting and financial transactions, where investment accounting knowledge is required to interpret accounting policies, guidelines and/or processes.
2. Full ownership for one or more processes, reports and/or procedures. Analytically and procedurally competent, representing the team on accounting or project deliverables.
3. Manage and consult daily operational activities, serve as a liaison to related areas, and supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees or offshore location's output.
4. Involve in consultative, problem solving, client engagement/onboarding projects. Demonstrate excellent analytical, consultative, communication, and judgment skills.

Duties:

1. Focus on resolution of complex investment accounting transactions, where expertise is required to interpret accounting policies, guidelines and/or processes. Ability to perform impact analysis on accounting.
2. Analytically and procedurally competent, representing the team on valuation reporting and projects deliverables.
3. Escalates relevant and critical issues to management and all pertinent partners/clients in a timely and efficient manner.
4. Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor other junior level employees.
5. Provide oversight to manage daily operational activities and supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees and offshore support teams.
6. Identify opportunities for enhancements and improvements to current processes proactively.
7. Ensures that team/division's goal for accuracy and timeliness is maintained.

Experience and Qualification:

Required

1. Analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
2. Excellent oral and written communication skills
3. Highly flexible and adaptable to change
4. Ability to work independently
5. Accounting knowledge

Preferred

1. A University degree and/or relevant proven work experience
2. Minimum 4 years' experience in financial servicing or related experience/credentials
3. International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or Singapore Financial Reporting Standards knowledge
4. Client communication, presentation, and consulting experience
5. Business Intelligence (BI) Knowledge (eg, Macro VBA, Power BI, etc)
