The successful candidate will be reporting into the Manager, Financial Reporting based in Singapore.
Scope of Work:
- Focus on resolution of complex core custody accounting and financial transactions, where investment accounting knowledge is required to interpret accounting policies, guidelines and/or processes.
- Full ownership for one or more processes, reports and/or procedures. Analytically and procedurally competent, representing the team on accounting or project deliverables.
- Manage and consult daily operational activities, serve as a liaison to related areas, and supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees or offshore location's output.
- Involve in consultative, problem solving, client engagement/onboarding projects. Demonstrate excellent analytical, consultative, communication, and judgment skills.
Duties:- Focus on resolution of complex investment accounting transactions, where expertise is required to interpret accounting policies, guidelines and/or processes. Ability to perform impact analysis on accounting.
- Analytically and procedurally competent, representing the team on valuation reporting and projects deliverables.
- Escalates relevant and critical issues to management and all pertinent partners/clients in a timely and efficient manner.
- Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor other junior level employees.
- Provide oversight to manage daily operational activities and supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees and offshore support teams.
- Identify opportunities for enhancements and improvements to current processes proactively.
- Ensures that team/division's goal for accuracy and timeliness is maintained.
Experience and Qualification:Required- Analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Highly flexible and adaptable to change
- Ability to work independently
- Accounting knowledge
Preferred- A University degree and/or relevant proven work experience
- Minimum 4 years' experience in financial servicing or related experience/credentials
- International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or Singapore Financial Reporting Standards knowledge
- Client communication, presentation, and consulting experience
- Business Intelligence (BI) Knowledge (eg, Macro VBA, Power BI, etc)
