Job Description

Introduction: Waste Warriors Society is a non-profit organization addressing the waste management crisis in the Indian Himalayan Region, focusing on Climate Change, Biodiversity Habitat Conservation, and informal livelihoods. We have a team of 200+ Warriors across Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, working towards effective waste management solutions in urban and rural areas, especially eco-sensitive and tourist zones.

Position Brief: We seek a Consultant to work from our Dehradun head office. You will join the Data & Digital Transformation team to enhance data-driven capabilities, collaborating closely with project teams and other stakeholders to develop data and technology assets that improve decision-making processes. Salary will be commensurate with skills and experience, aligned with organizational benchmarks.

Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with project and functional teams to identify data requirements and challenges.
  2. Translate functional needs into technical specifications aligned with the organization's technology roadmap.
  3. Develop process maps to analyze and improve existing processes.
  4. Guide data management and governance to implement technological solutions across functions.
  5. Lead the development and deployment of data models to optimize processes.
  6. Design and manage databases and data flows, primarily on Google Cloud Platform.
  7. Create dashboards and reports using tools like Google Sheets, BigQuery, and Looker Studio.
  8. Perform data analysis, synthesize insights, and present findings to stakeholders.
  9. Ensure quality standards and SLAs are met in delivering data assets.
  10. Develop sector-specific understanding to perform impact assessments, especially in waste management.
Skills and Attributes
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Hands-on experience with technology systems implementation.
  • Patience and ability to work with stakeholders unfamiliar with data/technology.
  • Proficiency in data management, warehousing, and SQL queries.
  • Data visualization skills using BI tools like Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI.
  • Highly proficient in Google Cloud Platform tools.
  • Preferred experience with chatbots and data flows.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player with adaptability and eagerness to learn.
  • Motivated to make a social impact through technical skills.
Experience & Qualification
