Job summary

SAYOWN BUILDERS & DESIGNERS PTE. LTD. is seeking a Technical Manager in construction to oversee engineering, design, and technical project aspects, ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, and safety standards.

You will bridge design teams and site personnel, manage technical submissions, drive value engineering, resolve discrepancies, and optimize construction methodologies from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical teams to execute construction projects efficiently, ensuring adherence to specifications, building codes, and safety standards
• Manage technical submissions and coordinate between architects, engineers, and site personnel to resolve design and construction discrepancies
• Drive value engineering initiatives to optimize construction methodologies and reduce costs while maintaining quality
• Develop and implement technology strategies aligned with business objectives to enhance project delivery and technical operations
• Hire, train, evaluate, and guide technical staff, assigning tasks and fostering a collaborative and positive team culture
• Manage budgets for technology projects and resources, overseeing day-to-day technical operations to ensure smooth execution
• Troubleshoot technical issues and monitor system performance to maintain operational efficiency throughout project lifecycles
• Translate complex technical concepts effectively for non-technical stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making
• Plan, execute, and deliver technical projects on time and within budget, applying strong project management skills
• Apply strategic thinking to assess broader organizational impacts of technology decisions and initiatives
