Construction Supervisor

Manages the construction portfolio through the implementation phase and produces resource-loaded and leveled project schedules. Reviews proposed designs to advise on constructability issues with potential adverse impacts. Collaborates with Supply Chain to identify and secure resources such as equipment, materials, and contractors. Reviews contractors’ credentials within the established qualification process. Supports material receiving through inspection.

Works regularly with project managers, engineers, and planners to define the construction work package breakdown structure, requirements, and priorities.

Develops and executes a multi-year strategy for efficiently managing multiple simultaneous construction projects.

Leads a team that develops project cost estimates, material and fabrication requirements, and project completion timelines, comparing engineering estimates with construction control estimates.

Manages various progress reporting requirements based on project type.

Evaluates ongoing work to ensure construction and installation conform to approved detailed design and engineering standards.

Conducts productivity analyses to identify and resolve critical variances, ensuring project objectives are met.

Maintains accurate and current project documentation for archiving and project closeout.

Develops strategic contracting approaches for turnaround and construction efforts.

Implements best practices for turnaround activities into the construction plan, schedule, and execution, especially for scheduled and emergency refinery outages.

Ensures optimal use of personnel to reduce equipment downtime, enhance efficiency, control costs, and identify further improvement opportunities.
