Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the site, including the procurement of construction materials and the work arrangements of site personnel.
- Monitor project progress against established timelines and address any deviations or delays proactively.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure alignment with overall project objectives.
- Oversee and direct all on-site construction activities, including material procurement, subcontractor management, and workforce allocation.
- Ensure all necessary materials, equipment, and manpower are available for uninterrupted progress.
- Manage site-related costs, track expenses, and optimize resource allocation to ensure the project stays within the approved budget.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to assess progress, quality, and adherence to project specifications.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure they comply with design specifications, contract terms, building codes, and relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and incidents on-site.
- Plan ahead to prevent problems on site and resolve any emerging issues or conflicts during construction.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma, Construction Management, Building Science, or a related field. A Bachelor's degree is often preferred or required for more senior roles.
- At least 8 years of proven work experience in construction site management or a similar role.
- Experience in managing various types of construction projects (e.g., residential, commercial, infrastructure, HDB, LTA) may be specified depending on the company9s focus.
