Job summary

SINOBUILT PTE. LTD. is seeking a motivated Site Engineer to supervise daily site activities, coordinate with contractors, and ensure engineering works are executed safely, on schedule, and per contract specifications.

You will read civil/structural drawings, monitor progress, manage variations, and support project stakeholders from our site office in Singapore. The role requires 5.5–6 day weeks and on-site duties.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a recognized construction-related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant construction industry experience.
• Ability to read and interpret civil structural drawings and contract specifications.
• Willingness to work site hours including 5.5/6-day work weeks and support shift work during critical project phases.
• To be stationed in project site office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project planning and monitor daily site progress with Main Contractors to ensure alignment with the master construction schedule.
• Supervise on-site engineering works to ensure compliance with contract drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) regulations.
• Maintain accurate daily site logs, manpower records, site progress photos, and work status reports to document site activities.
• Track, document, and manage variation orders (VOs) and additional work claims submitted to clients for contract support.
• Prepare regular correspondence and progress reports identifying site issues and proactively recommend corrective actions or value-added technical solutions.
• Attend site meetings and liaise with consultants and Main Contractors to resolve technical site matters and support stakeholder coordination.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Basic familiarity with project scheduling and CAD software such as AutoCAD and MS Project
• Prior experience working on LTA projects and structural works
