Job summary

Ernst Engineering PTE. LTD. seeks an Assistant Construction Manager to oversee construction projects from planning to completion. You will lead site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors, ensuring efficient manpower deployment and resource planning.

The role requires coordinating with clients, consultants, and authorities, maintaining QA/QC standards, and monitoring safety, schedule, and costs to deliver projects on time and to specification.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee construction projects from planning to completion.
• Lead and manage site engineers, supervisors, company employees, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Plan and deploy manpower, materials, machinery, and equipment efficiently.
• Manage project resources with an estimated workforce of up to 1,000 personnel, including subcontractors.
• Monitor project progress, productivity, quality, safety, and cost performance.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, engineers, and government authorities.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, approved drawings, QA/QC procedures, CONQUAS standards, and MOM/WSH regulations.
• Review construction schedules and implement recovery plans where necessary.
• Manage company assets, equipment utilisation, material control, and overtime costs.
• Prepare project reports and provide timely updates to Management.
• Respond promptly to construction issues, risks, emergencies, and project changes.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management.
