This role requires extensive technical expertise and strong project management capabilities to drive complex infrastructure programs that support Micron’s business objectives.Design & Engineering Oversight:- Lead the design and engineering of mechanical systems, including but not limited toWet Systems: Chilled water, cooling water, make-up water, fire protection, PCW, plumbing, sanitary systems, and underground services.Dry Systems: HVAC, process exhaust (general, solvent, ammonia, acid), process vacuum, compressed dry air, cleanroom and non-cleanroom makeup air systems.- Review and approve technical specifications, equipment selection, and detailed engineering drawings.- Coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams (electrical, structural, process) to ensure the integration of mechanical systems.- Evaluate innovative technologies to enhance system efficiency, performance, and sustainability.-Lead and deliver the detailed design, construction, T&C and handover over.-Ensure systems interface seamlessly with process tools and other facility infrastructure.Construction & Installation Management:- Oversee the installation and construction of mechanical systems, ensuring adherence to project schedules, specifications, and quality standards.- Manage contractors and subcontractors, ensuring proper execution of work and timely delivery of materials and equipment.- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress and resolve any challenges.- Ensure proper testing, balancing, and commissioning of mechanical systems to meet operational requirements.-Lead Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and equipment commissioning.Safety & Compliance Management:- Ensure all mechanical systems comply with applicable local, and international codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ASHRAE, SMACNA).- Develop and enforce safety protocols related to high-risk activities such as high-pressure piping and HVAC system installations.- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.- Collaborate with environmental teams to manage emissions, noise levels, and other potential impacts of mechanical systems.-Ensure all designs meet applicable codes and standards (NFPA, FM, UBC, UFC, UMC, IBC, IMC, IFC, NEC).-Engineer safety into all designs and maintain compliance with company safety guidelines.Program Leadership-Lead end-to-end execution of mechanical construction programs, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budgets.-Make decisions that impact project success and timeliness, with influence across the site and local operations.Job RequirementsQualifications· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.· 10+ years of experience in mechanical construction or program/project management with at least 5 years of experience in semiconductor industry.· Proven track record of managing large-scale mechanical infrastructure projects.· Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.· Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and adapt to changing priorities.Preferred Skills:· Proficiency in Mechanical design software (AutoCAD, Revit)· Experience in semiconductor, data center, pharmaceutical, or industrial facilities design, construction and T&C.· Familiarity with energy-efficient systems and sustainability practices.· Experience using AI-enabled tools, data analytics platforms, digital engineering solutions, or automation technologies to improve engineering, operations, maintenance, or project outcomes.· Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and adapt to changing priorities.Working Conditions:This role requires time split between office work for planning and reporting and on-site presence during construction, installation, and commissioning.
