Job description

Linum Consult’s client is a world leader in civil engineering construction, with a diverse portfolio of business interests. They are currently looking to hire a Construction Manager for a high-profile infrastructure project in Singapore. This is an immediate start for the successful candidate.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Construction Manager will oversee the productivity of the construction site, ensuring that any delays are addressed. This is a “hands-on” role, where a pragmatic “muddy boots” approach will be required. The Construction Manager’s responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:

• Managing, developing, and planning the construction works on site
• Installing and organising the construction site (logistics, materials, people)
• Directing all aspects of the day-to-day execution of the project, and monitoring and coordinating work performed by superintendents and skilled workers
• Leading, coaching and managing several skilled and experienced site execution staff
• Directing work sequencing to expedite project delivery and minimising the disruption of ongoing operations
• Selecting, auditing, and supervising subcontractors
• Attending and leading important site meetings
• Reporting directly to the Project Manager on the progress and output of your own teams and suppliers

PROFILE
