Job summary

A leading company in the electrical engineering sector seeks a Project Manager to oversee and manage various projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience, and a diploma in electrical engineering. Responsibilities include coordinating with stakeholders, managing project budgets, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage, and supervise all aspects of projects from pre-implementation through completion.
  • Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee all activities including power distribution, lighting, control systems, switchgear, and low-voltage systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, client’s requirement and quality standards.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, materials, and labour resources effectively.
  • Conduct site inspections and resolve any technical or scheduling issues promptly.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation including progress reports, change orders, daily logs, etc.
  • Lead site meetings and communicate effectively with project teams and clients.
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other departments to achieve delivery goals and technical support.
  • Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
  • Any other relevant duties as assigned by Superior.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience within the electrical engineering industry.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Strong project management and supervision skills.
  • Strong decision making and leadership skills.
  • Time management and organisation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good MS Office skills.
  • Min. Diploma or above in Electrical Engineering would be preferred. Other engineering qualifications may apply.
  • Knowledge of design and visualisations software such as AutoCAD and BIM would be useful.
