Job description

We are seeking a Construction Manager to oversee construction projects, ensuring adherence to Singapore’s regulatory standards, timelines, budget and quality. This role involves supervising all stages of construction while ensuring compliance with safety regulations set by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA), Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) guidelines and other relevant local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management: Plan, organize and manage construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure projects comply with Singapore's BCA regulations, the Building Control Act, Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act and environmental standards.
• Safety Management: Enforce safety policies in line with the WSH Act and Singapore Standards (SS) to create a safe working environment.
• Budget & Schedule Management: Oversee the construction budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and materials, and manage project schedules to avoid delays.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards, meeting client specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Subcontractor Management: Supervise subcontractors and ensure their work meets contractual and regulatory standards.
• Site Supervision: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and resolve any issues promptly.
• Client Liaison: Communicate project updates to clients and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management, with a solid understanding of Singapore’s construction regulations.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with BCA’s Building Control Act, WSH regulations, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) guidelines and other local construction standards.
• Skills: Strong project management skills, proficiency with tools like MS Project, Primavera and the ability to read construction plans and blueprints.
• Certifications: BCA Accreditation or similar industry-recognized certifications (e.g., CORIM certification for safety).
• Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and coordinate with various stakeholders.
