Job description

Contract Manager

Work Location: Changi Naval Base, office at 33 Maude Rd, #03-01, Singapore 208344 (Lavender area)

Working days: 5.5 days, 8am to 5pm, Alternate Saturday Full Day

Salary: $6000 to $8000 (depends on experience)

Requirements
  • Candidates with QS or Contracts background is advantageous.
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Civil Works.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project, Primavera, and AutoCAD.
Job scope
  • Liaise and assist the managing director in responding to requests for quotation from prospective clients both local and overseas.
  • Manage and coordinate the preparation of pre-tender documentation, respond to tender clarifications and amendments, and attend tender meetings leading to award of tenders.
  • Prepare contract documents for control and implementation of contract administration, review the commercial aspects of contracts and agreements with clients & sub-contractors.
  • Assist Project Managers in the preparation of monthly progress payments and ensure successful claims of progress payments.
  • Attend site meetings with project staff as required.
  • Assist project managers in preparing variation orders and keep comprehensive records of work alterations and design amendments.
  • Liaise closely with the main contractor and Client’s Quantity Surveyor regarding claims, negotiations, and finalization of accounts.
  • Prepare budgets and cash flow projections in conjunction with directors, project managers, and financial controllers.
  • Assist in negotiating sub-contractor packages and preparing sub-contractor or supplier agreement letters.
  • Analyze the scope of work in projects and contracts for effective contract administration, interpreting architectural and shop drawings.
  • Liaise with financial controllers and project managers to control project costs and manage financial administration.
  • Report on cost history for contract negotiation and budgeting.
