Job summary

JIN BAI MAO PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a skilled formwork carpenter to join our site operations.

You will read and interpret shop drawings and formwork layouts, fabricate and erect formwork/shuttering for columns, beams, slabs, walls and stairs, and measure, cut and shape timber, plywood and steel panels. You will install supports, props and bracing, dismantle formwork after curing and prepare materials for reuse, while performing repairs and coordinating with steel fixers and concreters

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret shop drawings, structural drawings and formwork layout plans.
• Fabricate and erect formwork/shuttering for columns, beams, slabs, walls and staircases.
• Measure, cut and shape timber, plywood and steel formwork panels.
• Install formwork supports, props and bracing according to engineering specifications.
• Dismantle and strike formwork after concrete curing and prepare materials for reuse.
• Carry out minor repairs and maintenance of formwork panels and carpentry tools.
• Coordinate with steel fixers, concreters and other trades to ensure work sequencing.
• Ensure all work complies with WSH regulations and site safety procedures.
• Conduct daily checks on tools and equipment before use.
• Report defects, unsafe conditions, or discrepancies in drawings to supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.
