Job summary

BUSINESS EDGE PERSONNEL SERVICES PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a Conservation Officer for the Paintings Section to perform condition assessments, documentation (including photography) and minor treatments on artworks, reporting to the Conservator.

Work includes preventive conservation, mounting and re-housing tasks, plus administrative support such as printing, scanning and filing, with a schedule Monday to Friday 8:15am–5:30pm.

Qualifications

• Recognised Diploma in a related field; art or conservation training is an advantage.
• Able to handle fragile materials with care.
• Able to multi-task, organise and prioritise work within a timeline.

Responsibilities

• Carry out condition assessments, documentation (including photography) and minor treatments on artworks and artefacts following procedures.
• Carry out treatment preparation and preventive conservation for storage or exhibition.
• Provide administrative support such as printing, scanning, uploading conservation documents and filing.
