Job summary

University of Glasgow Singapore is seeking a Learning, Teaching and Scholarship academic to deliver computing science education in Singapore across CPD, undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will engage in scholarship to advance teaching practice and contribute to programme development, while undertaking related administrative duties.

The role requires leading undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, collaborating with Glasgow colleagues and partners, and contributing to ongoing SoTL

Qualifications

• A1 A good Honours degree in a relevant discipline.
• A2 PhD, or the equivalent professional qualifications and experience in computing science with previous personal development in a similar or related role(s)
• A3 Comprehensive and up to date knowledge of developments in teaching, learning and assessment practices
• A4 Evidence of innovation in teaching methods.
• A5 Willingness to work in Singapore to deliver this role, subject to working and residency permissions.

Responsibilities

• Take a leading role in planning, organisation, delivery and assessment of undergraduate teaching activities in computing science and engineering at UGS.
• Collaborate with colleagues at the University of Glasgow and partner(s) to ensure coherent delivery of the degree programmes at UGS.
• Participate fully in assessment and examination processes and provide timely feedback to students.
• Supervise and oversee individual and team student projects.
• Engage in scholarship and dissemination of teaching and learning (SoTL) through publications and conferences.
