UGLASGOW SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. seeks an Assistant Professor in Computing Science to deliver teaching across CPD, undergraduate and postgraduate levels at UGS. The role includes scholarship, course development and taking on administrative duties to support Singapore activities.

The post is based at the SIT Punggol campus with occasional UK visits for induction and development. A strong track record in teaching and a PhD in computing science are essential.

Qualifications

• Honours degree in a relevant discipline
• PhD or equivalent in computing science with development in a similar role
• Experience teaching programming, software engineering, ML, IoT, data analytics, algorithms
• Up-to-date knowledge of teaching, learning and assessment practices
• Experience teaching in listed areas and/or related subjects
• Evidence of innovation in teaching methods
• Willingness to work in Singapore and obtain residency permissions

Responsabilités

• Lead planning, organising, delivering and assessing undergraduate teaching in computing science and engineering at UGS
• Collaborate with Glasgow colleagues and partners to ensure coherent degree delivery
• Participate in assessment processes and provide timely feedback
• Supervise and oversee student projects
• Contribute to the Overseas Immersion Programme at the Glasgow campus
• Engage in SoTL and disseminate teaching scholarship
• Develop joint teaching projects with Glasgow and Singapore
• Disseminate SoTL through journals and conferences
• Engage in professional development and external activities
• Contribute to administrative and management duties as allocated
