Job summary

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Quality Inspection or 2 years’ NDT experience.
  • Preferably CAAS Approval in NDT certification.
  • Ability to read and understand manufacturing operation sheets and SOPs in English.

From automating processes to leveraging smart factory technologies, robotics, and additive manufacturing, GE Aerospace is shaping the future of aviation at GE Aerospace Engine Services Singapore (GEAESS).

GEAESS is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60% of our global repair volume.

Role Overview:

  • Perform specific calibrations, NDT, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection of parts.
  • Interpret and understand inspection operation sheets and work instructions accurately.
  • Organize, sort, and prepare parts for NDT inspection.
  • Load, unload, and operate XR, UT, or auto FPI lines effectively.
  • Perform X-Ray, Ultrasonic, Fluorescent Penetrant, Eddy Current, or Magnetic Particle Inspection according to operation sheets.
  • Ensure equipment readiness at all times.
  • Assist Engineers with inspection evaluation and reporting.
  • Maintain process systems and testing equipment for continuous operation in compliance with approved documents.
  • Prepare and clean parts before and after inspection.
  • Conduct audits in NDT areas to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and housekeeping tasks.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Prior experience in NDT.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum GCE ‘O’ level and/or 5 years’ experience in Quality Inspection.
  • Or minimum GCE ‘O’ level and/or 2 years’ NDT experience.
  • Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Preferably CAAS Approval in NDT certification.
  • Ability to read and understand manufacturing operation sheets and SOPs in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of NDT per NAS 410 standards in PT, X-Ray, UT, ECI, MPI methods.
  • Knowledge of NDT per ASNT Level I, II, or III in X-Ray, UT, ECI, MPI methods.
  • Team player.
