Job summary

A financial institution in Singapore is seeking a KYC Analyst to conduct thorough reviews and updates of client KYC profiles. The candidate will validate sources of wealth, monitor transactions, and provide guidance on KYC/CDD protocols. A Bachelor's degree and relevant experience in compliance are required. This role offers a 12-month contract with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

  • 3 – 6 years of experience in KYC, AML, or compliance-related roles within financial institutions.
  • Strong understanding of AML/CFT regulations, customer due diligence (CDD), and risk assessment.

Duration: 12 Month Contract | Private Bank

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough reviews and updates of KYC profiles to align with the latest regulatory and internal compliance standards.
  • Validate clients\' Source of Wealth using a mix of documentary evidence, contextual understanding, and market research.
  • Analyze and mitigate risks related to complex ownership structures and legal entities.
  • Monitor client transactions to ensure they fit established risk profiles; promptly flag and investigate any suspicious or unusual activities, especially those involving unknown third parties.
  • Manage sanction screening alerts by investigating true matches and addressing AML/CFT concerns from name and media checks.
  • Identify emerging risk trends or unusual transaction patterns and escalate them swiftly to the appropriate teams.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all reviews, findings, and decision-making processes to support audit and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure cases are resolved accurately and within agreed timelines, maintaining quality and compliance standards.
  • Provide clear and actionable guidance to front office personnel on KYC/CDD protocols.
  • Collaborate with management and risk committees by delivering insightful risk assessments on client relationships related to AML/CFT.
  • Proactively identify process gaps and contribute ideas for improving controls and operational workflows
Requirements
