Job summary

BVNK is seeking a Compliance Manager for Singapore to strengthen its regulated presence and growth in the APAC market. This role sits in the 2LoD Compliance function, advising the Singapore business while enabling responsible expansion in a fast-moving regulatory environment.

The role requires expertise in financial services compliance, MAS rules, and policy development, with a hands-on approach to build strong relationships with regulators and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in a Compliance or Regulatory Compliance role within financial services, payments, fintech or digital assets.
• Good knowledge of the Singapore financial services regulatory environment and MAS requirements.
• Experience operating within a second line of defence Compliance function.
• Experience developing, implementing and maintaining compliance policies, procedures and frameworks.
• Ability translating regulatory requirements into practical actions for the business.
• Experience supporting regulatory interactions, submissions, audits or examinations.

Responsibilities

• Support BVNK's Singapore regulatory licence strategy and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
• Act as second line of defence partner, providing independent compliance advice and oversight.
• Develop, maintain and enhance compliance policies, procedures and controls for Singapore operations.
• Monitor Singapore regulatory developments and implement required changes.
• Support MAS engagements, regulatory submissions and examinations as needed.
• Deliver local compliance monitoring and assurance programmes and drive remediation.
• Provide practical compliance guidance on new products, services, partnerships, and initiatives in Singapore.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Financial Crime, Product and Operations to embed regulatory requirements.
• Support regulatory reporting, governance and documentation with proper records and evidence.

About this role in the team:

We're looking for a Compliance Manager - Singapore to play a key role in supporting BVNK's regulated presence and continued growth in Singapore.

Sitting within our second line of defence (2LoD) Compliance function, you'll help ensure our Singapore business operates in line with its regulatory obligations while enabling BVNK to expand its footprint in one of our key APAC markets.

This is a broad, hands-on compliance role. You'll work across regulatory compliance, policies and procedures, compliance monitoring and regulatory change, while building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and regulators. You'll be an important local compliance partner to the Singapore business, helping us grow responsibly in a fast-moving and evolving regulatory environment.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

• Suppor BVNK's Singapore regulatory licence(s) strategy and ensure the business continues to meet applicable regulatory requirements.
• Act as a key second line of defence partner to the Singapore business, providing independent compliance advice, oversight and challenge.
• Develop, maintain and enhance compliance policies, procedures and controls relevant to our Singapore operations.
• Monitor developments in the Singapore regulatory landscape, assess their impact on BVNK and support the implementation of required changes.
• Support ongoing engagement with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and other relevant regulatory bodies, including regulatory submissions, information requests and examinations where required.
• Support the delivery of the local compliance monitoring and assurance programme, identifying gaps and working with the business to drive appropriate remediation.
• Provide practical compliance advice on new products, services, partnerships and business initiatives as BVNK expands its presence in Singapore.
• Partner closely with colleagues across Compliance, Legal, Risk, Financial Crime, Product and Operations to ensure regulatory requirements are understood and embedded effectively.
• Support regulatory reporting, governance and documentation, ensuring appropriate records and evidence are maintained.
• Help strengthen BVNK's wider APAC compliance framework as our regulatory footprint and business in the region continues to grow.

What we need from you:

• Strong experience in a Compliance or Regulatory Compliance role within financial services, within payments, fintech or digital assets
• Good knowledge of the Singapore financial services regulatory environment and experience working with MAS requirements.
• Experience operating within a second line of defence Compliance function.
• Practical experience developing, implementing and maintaining compliance policies, procedures and frameworks.
• Experience interpreting regulatory requirements and translating them into practical actions for the business.
• Experience supporting regulatory interactions, submissions, audits or examinations.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where you'll need to balance strong regulatory judgement with commercial pragmatism.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to provide effective challenge when required.
